Joao De Almeida Domingos
Joao de Almeida Domingos began his journalistic career in 1986 with Radio Nacional de Angola-Benguela (RNA). Four years later, he transferred to Televisao Publica de Angola in the city of Benguela (TPA) covering local news. He was to become editorial director and head of regional news programming for TPA. Domingos also directed and hosted the multicultural program Dimensao-7. In 1992, he returned to Radio Nacional de Angola, while in 1996, he began work as a correspondent for Voice of America and participated in the project Angola, Linha Directa-Linha Aberta. Domingos also collaborated with such local papers in Angola as Agora and Folha-8, and was a correspondent for the Portuguese weekly Independente. He is a member of the Union of Angolan Journalists (UJA) and various other foreign journalists' associations. He came to Canada in 2001.
