Sept 10, 2006	Eden Mills Writers Festival Sunday, September 10, 1-2:30 Eden Mills, Ontario Join PEN Canada at the 2006 Eden Mills Writers Festival for readings from Writing Life, Celebrated Canadian and International Authors on Writing and Life, edited by Constance Rooke, President of PEN Canada and co-founder of the Eden Mills Writers Festival (with her husband, novelist Leon Rooke). More... Readings by Margaret Atwood , David Bergen, Graeme Gibson and Jane Urquhart and hosted by Constance Rooke . PEN Canada will also have a display booth on the street, where books (including a previous anthology Writing Away) and t-shirts will be on sale, along with postcards in support of imprisoned Iranian writer and scholar Ramin Jahanbegloo. Sun Sep 24, 2006 11am-6pm	Word on the Street Festival Sunday, September 24, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Queen’s Park --- Join us in the tent in the park for readings from Writing Life, Celebrated Canadian and International Authors on Writing and Life , edited by Constance Rooke , President of PEN Canada, and published by McClelland & Stewart in its centenary year. More... Contributors David Macfarlane, Shani Mootoo, Howard Engel, Russell Smith, Barry Callaghan, Greg Gatenby, Rosemary Sullivan, Michael Helm and Susan Coyne will read their essays. They will be joined on stage by Janice Kulyk Keefer, Paul Quarrington, Evan Solomon, Albert Schultz and Ann Ireland who will read the essays of contributors who cannot be present. Our hosts for the day are Marian Botsford Fraser, Haroon Siddiqui, Eleanor Wachtel, Constance Rooke, Erika Ritter and Clayton Ruby . As a show special, PEN Canada memberships will also be on sale for $70, which includes a copy of Writing Life. Fabulous prizes will be raffled off throughout the day.
